S.C Successfully Hosts Corporate Visit Event for the 9th Perovskite & Tandem Solar Cells (Yangtze River Delta) Industrialization Forum

From August 26th to August 28th, the 9th Perovskite & Tandem Solar Cells (Yangtze River Delta) Industrialization Forum, directed by the Perovskite Industry Branch of the China International Association for Promotion of Science and Technology (CIAPST) and hosted by LT.TESTPV.COM, was grandly held in Changzhou, Jiangsu. S.C deeply participated in the event, hosting the special corporate visit event on the afternoon of August 28th and warmly welcoming industry experts, scholars and corporate representatives nationwide.


 

Led by Dr.Sheng Jiang, technical director of S.C, on August 28th, over 180 guests visited S.C’s facilities for an in-depth, up-close tour of its advanced perovskite and heterojunction (HJT) solar cell pilot line. Leaders and colleagues of S.C's technical team and marketing team were also present.

Guests visited the HJT solar cell pilot line first. In front of this highly automatic and intelligent mass-production platform, guests had a clear view of over 20 sets of core process equipment independently designed and manufactured by S.C, including advanced cleaning & texturing equipment, PECVD non-crystalline deposition equipment, PVD transparent conductive film equipment, exact coating equipment,non - destructive laser cutting equipment, etc. Dr.Sheng gave a detailed explanation around the key issues including the equipment's technical advantages, process adaptability, and how to achieve large-scale production with high efficiency, uniformity, and low loss. This enabled the participants to deeply understand how HJT, with fewer process steps, higher conversion efficiency, and better temperature coefficient, has become one of the strong contenders for the next generation PV technology.


 

Guests then moved forward to the perovskite solar cell pilot line. This facility revealed the cutting-edge equipment layout for future perovskite and tandem solar cell technologies. Guests not only witnessed the operation of extensive perovskite thin film coating, inkjet printing, laser etching, evaporation, magnetron sputtering, RPD/ALD and other full process core equipment, but also saw S.C's sustained efforts and firm determination for in tackling industrialization challenges, such as the stability of perovskite materials, the uniformity of extensive preparation and the integration with crystalline silicon bottom cells. Dr.Sheng emphasized how S.C, through self-developed equipment platform, achieves precise control over meter-scale perovskite polycrystalline thin film and cross-scale functional layer, thereby enhancing cells’ long-term reliability and performance consistency and laying a solid equipment foundation for the mass production of perovskite and tandem solar cells.


 

After the tour, Dr. Sheng and S.S team engaged in an in-depth discussion with the guests, exchanging views on industry topics of common concern, such as technology trends, cost reduction method, etc.

This corporate visit was far more than a regular production line showcase. It served as a "mini lecture" focusing on the cutting-edge evolution of perovskite and HJT technology, a profound integration of knowledge and knowhow, and an open window showing S.C's pivotal role and powerful enabling capacity as a global leader in PV equipment in driving PV technical change. S.C will adhere to the mission of “developing green industry and delivering clean energy” and step forward the green future together with its partners.
